CENTRE FOR BIOMEDICAL AND APPLIED RESEARCH

The Centre for Biomedical and Applied Research Program (CIBAP) of the School of Medicine was created in July 2015 in response to the request of a group of academics of the School to have organization and space for the development of research activities, proposing as a goal, among others, the improvement of scientific productivity indicators of the academic unit.

The laboratory is located in a two-story building with 200 m2, located in sector 8 of the central campus of the University.

Currently, CIBAP hosts 9 academics from the School of Medicine, 1 postdoctoral researcher, 6 graduate students and 6 undergraduate students.  The laboratory also has 6 professional research assistants, two administrative and housekeeping staff.

Our lines of research include: Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Cell Physiology, Neurophysiology, Genetics and Epigenetics, Histology and Biomedical Engineering, Microbiology.
